Multidisciplinary intervention based on healthy habits and psychological counseling for body weight reduction

Abstract
Obesity has become a global public health problem, ranking fifth among the causes of death. The main interventions aimed at reducing body weight focus on lifestyle modifications, such as diet and exercise. The objective of this study is to establish the influence of healthy lifestyle habits on body weight reduction. Methodology: This study focused on 19 participants who underwent a 12-week intervention with dietary and physical activity measures. Results: A decrease in anthropometric and laboratory results was observed in all 19 participants, showing significant reductions in weight, BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, and other parameters. Conclusion: For patients wishing to reduce their body weight, implementing dietary and physical activity measures is recommended to modify anthropometric and laboratory parameters.
